About us
Society of Cancer Research (SCR) is a national society inspired by the overwhelming response of cancer patients who received free molecular diagnosis from young scientists of the Cancer Genetics Lab. The society brings together young scientists, PhD students, doctors, and people from all walks of life.
Through its programs and services, SCR fosters biomedical research; accelerates dissemination of new findings among young scientists and doctors; promotes science education and training; and advances understanding of cancer causes, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
SCR publishes newsletters for dissemination of society activities and scientific developments, hosts annual meetings with invited lectures and travel awards for students, and recognizes outstanding contributions through a wide range of society awards.
